Eight

Whenever my kids have birthdays I can’t help but look back and think about the day they were born. Lucky for me, Aaron really enjoys talking about when he was born and all the things he went through. He loves looking at his baby book and hearing how extra special he was. Last night was the same thing. Each year I get a little more detailed with all the struggles that he had, and now that he’s 8 I think he understand more when I tell him just how glad I am that he is healthy (especially that he knows how to poop).

I love him and each day I am more and more thankful that he is my son. He is not an easy kid by any means, but he and I have a lot in common. He is the kids that loves to be organized and have a schedule. He also likes sports and pizza is his favorite food. I think we could both eat it daily. He loves playing with his brother, but there are also times he wants to be alone. He will be the first one to help someone when they are hurt. He is also the first one to get mad when you are not doing it his way- I have no idea where that comes from.

He is my own little miracle. I was not sure when the little 4 lb 8 ounce little guy came into the world 4 weeks early with some health concerns what was going to happen. I am ecstatic IMG_6102 IMG_6105

to be celebrating the 8th birthday of my athletic, smart, handsome young man! I love you AJ.
